Roman Reigns to star with The Rock in "Fast and Furious"

Hobbs and Shaw announced Friday the appointment of a new member of the cast, former Universal Champion, Roman Reigns.

The Rock has made the announcement via Instagram and some captioned pictures on the set of him and Roman saying: "Good times save sweat and make blood flow with my family, Roman Reigns who will play my brother in our FAST & FURIOUS UNIVERSE."

"I am very proud of his concentration, his efforts and his authentic performance in our film for the very first time in his history," he added. "I'm also very grateful to spend this quality time with my cousin, here on the islands, as he comes alive day after day to recover from leukemia."

As you will remember, Reigns announced on Raw in October that he would abandon the universal championship and move away from the WWE because of a private battle against leukemia.

"Her perseverance and humility to this challenge have inspired our entire family, as well as millions of people around the world, in our beloved world of WWE," continued The Rock on Instagram. "I can not wait for the" Big Dog "to come back into the ring. His positive and focused state of mind is to return to the next level. Until then, this sacred Samoan soil on which you are is nourished by the blood of our ancestors. Today, we are feeding it with yours.
