ZURICH (Reuters) – Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo faces disciplinary charges after one of three goals he scored in Atletico Madrid's 3-0 win last week in the Champions League.

UEFA said the Portuguese would be the subject of a hearing Thursday for "inappropriate conduct" in the first leg of the last 16 days, in which Juventus won a 3-2 overall victory .

Ronaldo made a similar move to Atletico coach Diego Simeone, who celebrated the first goal of his team in the first leg by turning to the crowd and getting his hands on his pants.

Simeone was fined 20,000 euros (22,708 USD) for the incident, but escaped a ban on touching the second leg. Juventus will face Ajax Amsterdam in the quarter-finals.
