For the second time in a row, the hearing of a request for extension of the deadline for the application of the Law on the Amendment of the Law on the Representation of Citizens (ROPAA) by the Electoral Commission has been postponed.
On March 4, the case was sent back to March 21 today for hearing.
But today, in court, Samson 's lawyer, Lardi Anyenini, told the court that there was a new development for which an adjournment would be required.
He asked the court for an adjournment to allow the respondent in the case to file an additional affidavit to be heard.
According to him, the file should have been filed yesterday, but some difficulties were met and have been "filed today".
Daily Heritage Court correspondent Muntalla Inusah, who was in court, said that Justin Amenuvor, the EC lawyer who was to make the application, raised no objections.
The court presided over by Judge Abodakpi returned the case to 3 April 2019.
