ROTHERHAM United was charged by the FA after a mbadive scrum during his championship showdown at Millwall last Saturday.
The storm erupted in the 56th minute when a challenge by Millers captain Lions goaltender Jordan Archer triggered a raid on the penalty box involving virtually all field players.
The FA alleges that Rotherham "failed to ensure that their players behaved in an orderly manner".
Millwall is facing a similar rap and both clubs have until 6 pm Thursday to respond.
Wood was warned for the foul, but referee Andy Madley has taken no action against any player involved in the match.
Millwall boss Neil Harris said Wood should have been expelled, describing the midfielder's attempt to win the ball as "high waist" and "horrible".
