According to the AFP news agency, a Rwandan UN peacekeeper was killed in the Central African Republic (CAR).

He quotes the UN as saying it happened during the fighting when the rebels tied the capital, Bangui.

Rebel forces, opposed to the recent re-election of Faustin-Archange Touadéra and allegedly supported by former President François Bozizé, are advancing on the city.
