Ryan Sessegnon, target of transfer to Tottenham, should relegate Fulham exodus

Fulham are resigned to losing the Ryan Sessegnon prize now that they have been relegated to the Premier League.

West Londoners all have a relegation reduction clause of up to 50% in their contracts, which reinforces the club's belief that to have sell whatever they want to keep.

But they are worried that they will have trouble keeping whizkid Sessegnon, after their return to the Championship was confirmed, after only one season in the top of the standings, in Tuesday's 4-1 game at Watford.

Fulham paid £ 50 million on Sessegnon's head last summer, when Tottenham was particularly enthusiastic.

But the value of the 18-year-old widower will have been hit hard this quarter and the fact that he only has one year left in his contract.

Despite their belief that Sessegnon must be the only way out, it is accepted at Craven Cottage that other players and their representatives can feel different and want to move.

Top scorer, Aleksandar Mitrovic, signed for £ 22 million last summer after scoring important goals in the promotional campaign while on loan from Newcastle. He will have contenders from the Premier League, including London neighbor West Ham.

Fulham is also preparing for deals for midfielder Jean Michael Seri, a surprise surprise from the French side of Nice, last summer after qualifying via the play-offs. Seri was the subject of offers during the January window while he was heading towards the goal.

Ryan Babel and Lazar Markovic are both on offers expiring this summer.

The two-year loan from former German international midfielder Andre Schurrle, of Borussia Dortmund, who failed to impress, will also end a year earlier now that he's back in the second level.

Scott Parker, third manager of the season club after Slavisa Jokanovic, winner of the promotion, and Claudio Raieri, who won the title three years ago in Leicester, but could not keep Fulham after his entry into November role next season.
