Sam George Likens "Black Stars" incompetent to the government of Akufo-Addo | Policy

Ningo-Prampram MP Samuel Nartey George compared the performance of the Ghana Black Stars at the 2019 Nations Africa Cup to that of the Akufo-Addo government, saying they were all incompetent.

The Black Stars failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the tournament when they lost Tuesday night 4-0 to Tunisia on penalties.

While some Ghanaians clashed with the Black Stars on social media, others went down in coach, James Kwesi Appiah, accusing him of failing to make changes when it mattered. Some have already started calling his head.

He added that the Black Stars could not have obtained better results than they had done under the leadership of the Akufo-Addo government, which he described as incompetent.

He mentioned a Facebook post that he published on June 25 in which she spelled Damage for the Black Stars, declaring [Black Stars] do not come back with same indomie ".

"The team you have is incompetent, the team you have reflected the government we have, incompetent," he said Tuesday.

In trying to justify his comparison, he compared coach Kwasi Appiah to President Akufo-Addo, Captain Andrew Dede Ayew to Senior Minister Yaw Osarfo Marfo and Captain General Asamoah Gyan to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

"You have a coach who is technically bankrupt, [like] President Akufo-Addo. You have a captain who has pbaded his peak, [like] Osafo-Marfo. You have a captain general who is more of a jamma leader, [like] Bawumia, "argued.

The government, he said, "reflects the team and I can take it for each player and show you his representatives in the government sector".

Dissolve the team

The former member of the presidential staff wishes the dissolution of the entire team and the creation of a new team composed of young players of the junior teams.

"Dissolve the team and get a real point of support, if we can not get foreign players, build our local league, set up a national team of local players appropriate, establish a national development plan for the next four years and rebuild the Black Stars, "he said.

Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, MP for Ledzokuku, also expressed his disappointment at the Black Stars' performance, asking Ghanaians to make a bold decision regarding Kwesi Appiah as coach of the national team.
