"The church and religious organizations are already regulated in this country. We have the Christian Council, the Catholic Bishops' Conference and the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches, what we can do as a state is to collaborate with the leaders of these churches ", was quoted as saying.
He continued: "They even said that they wanted Parliament to strengthen these organizations and make it mandatory that every church be placed under the auspices of one of these recognized organizations. Parliament and the state should therefore act with caution, because matters of faith legislated even logically. "

George's reprimand arises as a result of the call by some MPs for the promulgation of a law regulating the activities of churches belonging solely to churches belonging to self-styled pastors and led by them, and referred to as "One-man churches".
Some of these churches would have engaged in all sorts of unacceptable practices in the country.
