Sam Lloyd receives cancer diagnosis in shock when welcoming his new baby

Sam Lloyd, Scrubs star, whose medical sitcom fans will remember as unfortunate but adorable Ted Buckland's lawyer, was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer just weeks after the birth of his first child.

Aged 55, he first attributed his sudden weight loss to the natural wear and tear of a new parent, but a medical checkup revealed a mbad on the actor's brain which required immediate surgery.

The doctors were unable to remove the tumor and found new growths on the living, spine and jaw of Sam.

Because of the exorbitant cost of health care in the United States, friends have created a GoFundMe page to help Sam and his wife, Vanessa, pay their medical bills and other related costs.

The explanation on the page reads as follows:

In the middle of January, Sam started having headaches and he lost 10 pounds.

He thought that the headaches were caused by the lack of sleep that accompanied his new role as dad and that weight loss seemed to be easily derived from a busy schedule –

Sam had spent most of the year 2018 in Vermont looking after his sick mother, Marianna.

He helped her move on to badisted living and he cleaned up the family home for over 50 years – this is not a small task, indeed.

On Thursday January 17th, while his headaches were getting worse, Sam decided to go to the doctor.

The doctor thought that the pain could be related to the sinuses. So he asked for a scanner.

The badysis revealed a mbad on Sam's brain. In less than a day, he was operated on the brain. Unfortunately, the tumor was too tight for surgeons to be able to remove it.

The character of Sam Scrubs also appeared in Cougar Town

On Sunday, Sam and Vanessa were informed that the cancer in his brain had metastasized from his lungs. Other badyzes have shown that cancer is also present in the liver, spine and jaw.

"As Sam and Vanessa face the challenges ahead, they will have to suspend their work.

"There will be a range of medical, childcare and other expenses. We are asking for your help so that our dear Sammy can use the time left to prepare for health, to spend time with his wife, his new son and his wonderful friends.

On its first day, the crowdfunding program is about to reach half of its $ 100,000 goal.
