The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled Saturday, September 28, 2019 the election of its candidates to Parliament in constituencies where there is no Member of Parliament.

Elected MPs in these regions, also known as "orphan constituencies" in political circles, will represent the party in the 2020 legislative elections.

He revealed that the deadline for nominations was July 20 and would end on August 3, 2019.

In addition, in accordance with the guidelines and procedures, a candidate for a new candidate for Parliament is required to obtain nomination forms after the payment of a non-refundable application fee of GHG 2,000 in the form of banker at his regional or national headquarters.

Sammi Awuku added that a potential candidate should pay a non-refundable deposit fee in the amount of 20,000 GH ¢.

He warned that no one from the NPP should be barred from choosing an application form to participate in primaries in orphaned constituencies.
