Samsung has postponed the launch of the first smartphone with folding screen a few days before the scheduled date. Previously, some Galaxy Fold model testers distributed to reporters were aware of display issues. Screen protection should now be improved, Samsung announced Monday.

A new start date should be communicated in the coming weeks. Originally, the device was to be released April 26 in the United States and May 3 in Europe.

Galaxy Fold was to be the first device on the market, in which the screen can be unfolded to the size of a small tablet. Competitor Huawei has announced the launch of its Auffalt Mate X smartphone for the summer.
