The last 10 years describe "the era of the smartphone" after Koh. To date, many things have changed, a turning point is imminent. Koh even speaks of a "new era" that goes hand in hand with the combination of a 5G infrastructure, IoT and AI technology accumulated and worsened. Users expect a totally new user experience – not just with the smartphone, but usually with smart devices.
"I have my own long-term roadmaps for hardware and software, based on the new technologies we are entering in. My current goal is to supplement them," Koh said.
Koh also said that he was not trying to develop his own music or video ecosystem, but rather relied on collaboration with partners such as Netflix, Spotify or Amazon. "If someone is much better than me, we have to work together to make it a win-win game." That's also why Samsung works closely with Google.
