Berlin – Euro 2016 winner Renato Sanches says he's planning to leave the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich at the end of the season for lack of playing time.

The Portuguese midfielder joined the club at the age of 18 in 2016 for an amount of 35 million euros – a record in the Bundesliga for a teenager.

"I'm not happy here," he told Kicker magazine.

Bayern made a big splash in Sanches after allowing Portugal to win the title of European champion in France and to be voted the best young player in the tournament.

However, he was only used sporadically by Bayern and spent last season on loan at Swansea, where he played only 12 Premier League games after suffering a leg injury.

Sanches have only played in four Bundesliga matches with Bayern head coach Niko Kovac.

"I work a lot, but I am not allowed to play," he complains Sanches, with Javi Martinez, Thiago Alcantara and Leon Goretzka above him in the hierarchy.

Sanches says that he has to decide "what is best for me, I want to play more, maybe with another club, I have to think a little bit about it".

During the January transfer, the French giant Paris Saint-Germain expressed his interest in Sanches, but Kovac did not want to release him.
