Sarpreet Singh hit Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas but the whistle went offside.
New Zealander Sarpreet Singh nearly scored his first goal for Bayern Munich in his 3-1 win against Real Madrid on Sunday.
The young Kiwi replaced the legendary German against the legendary Spanish club Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly match in Houston for the second time since signing the Wellington Phoenix.
Barely two minutes into the 73rd minute, Singh gave a good chance to the nearest square centimeter of the near post, after a center escaped from the center.
In overtime, Singh found the net after receiving the ball in the penalty area, turning and pulling hard but the offside flag had been raised.

Singh, and another 20-year-old midfielder, Maximilian Zaiser, have replaced striker Corentin Tolisso and David Alaba for Bayern.
Real Madrid have lined up Eden Hazard for the first time since transfer from Chelsea, but also world player Luca Modric, but Zinedine Zidane's manager has completely changed his eleven at halftime.
Singh made his debut in Bayern's first team earlier this week in a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in Los Angeles.
Their next preseason game in the United States will be held Wednesday against the Italian AC Milan club in Kansas City (NZT).
