North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says Foreign Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey's defamation lawsuit against him against the Ghanaian embbady in Oslo, Norway's newly opened capital.

Shirley Ayorkor Botchway sued federal MP Africawatch and one of her editors for a defamatory article in her magazine, in which she was accused of spending more than $ 16 million on the purchase of a building in Oslo, Norway.

The plaintiff, represented by his lawyer, Gary Nimako, is claiming $ 20 million from the defendants as compensation for his tarnished reputation.

She also seeks a court order directing the accused to withdraw the defamatory publication and to make an unqualified apology with the same visibility as the defamatory publication.

In the June issue of this publication, Africawatch magazine published this cover with the following caption: "Ghanaian Exclusivity: Narrative of the scandalous Oslo conspiracy to steal, Ayokor Botchwey's lies exposed, defense of Nana Akufo-Addo".

This publication, according to the plaintiff, intends to tarnish its hard-earned reputation, which is why it decided to sue the magazine Africawatch and its publisher for defamation.

In an interview, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa stated that he had not been served and that he "was not at all afraid of development," adding that he had performed his side tasks without malice.

He added that Ghanaians should rather congratulate him for making such a disclosure than attempting to defame him.

He says his lawyers will respond at the right time when they are served.
