Schlupp and Palace envision sensational race in FA Cup "special" final

Crystal Palace midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp aims to play in the FA Cup final at Wembley after encouraging the club to defeat Doncaster Rovers 2-0 on Sunday in the fifth round.

The Eagles came closer to the climax as goals from Ghana and Max Meyer propelled them into the quarterfinals at the Keepmoat stadium.

"I found a bit of space on the left side, so I went into space and before I knew it, I was in the box," Schlupp said. official website of his club.

"I thought I had a good shot, see what was happening and, fortunately, it worked."

"We scored two good goals and moved to the next round."

With the draw of the last eight games for Monday, Schlupp is hoping for a result that will improve their chances of reaching the semifinals.

"We obviously knew that if we pbaded this round, we would be in a good position," he said.

"Of course, this is a special tournament and with a bit of luck we could form a smaller team, if that's what you want to call, to have a better chance of winning.

"But obviously, any trip to Wembley is special and we hope to do it."

Schlupp's goal was his fifth attempt in all competitions for Palace this season, having not found the back of the net in his first two seasons with the club.

This record is also the highest of his career in a single campaign since six decisive strikes for Leicester City in 2011-12.
