CrasH Talk feels like a chance to reconnect with a friend who has become a stranger. Three years have pbaded since Groovy Q published his GRAMMY-nominated Gold Ball-Curve, Blank Face LP, but you feel much longer in retrospect.

And it's gone! Combustion! Q is an upward rocket and production is the flame that pushes it out of Earth's orbit. If I went to the gym, "numb juice" would make me tear in the summer. the the towers that he pulls are impeccable. Every line, every flow, every pocket, not a single second is wasted. 5. "Drunk" ft. 6LACK

Instead of fully engaging in the crash, however, Q spends too much time pretending that everything is fine. All is not well. Life burns us all. We are all collapsing.
A record like "Tales", co-produced by DJ Dahi, Jake One and G Koop, works so well because Q looks like it makes for a negative trip to the past. But instead of allowing us to witness the whole accident, the scars and all that has happened, Q hides behind the bbad and harsh speech.
