Schools in Richmond, MO, Confirm Positive "Initial Test" for Measles | New

RICHMOND, MO (KCTV) – School officials in Richmond, Missouri, confirmed Friday night at KCTV5 News that a student had tested positive for measles.

Superintendent Mike Aytes confirmed that the positive test involved a primary school student.

Aytes however noted that the initial tests had not yet been confirmed by the state testing laboratory.

Missouri is one of 22 states in which the CDC has confirmed cases of measles so far in 2019. As of April 26, 704 cases had been confirmed in the country.
