It is feared that dozens of pbadengers will have died as a result of a frontal collision involving two buses on the Techiman – Kintampo road on Friday.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the buses reportedly caught fire and the other seriously mutilated.

Health authorities have indicated that at least 28 people are currently undergoing treatment in a health facility, including one confirmed death in the same facility.

"We have treated about 28 people and one has expired," Francis Stabban, a health officer, told Francis Abban on the morning of Starr on Friday, March 22, 2019.

"Seven of them are in critical condition and four have been referred. Most of them have head injuries, lacerations and bruises on their hands, legs, neck and elsewhere, "he said.

He said most of the pbadengers may have died instantly.

The police have not yet confirmed the number of victims.
