Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff admits he can not cope with the rumor that he will be transferred to Manchester United.
Longstaff was watched by United this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, a fan of the 21-year-old.
It is understood that United hoped to be able to count on Longstaff before the club's pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East.
However, when preparing an initial GBP 20 million offer for Longstaff, United learned that Newcastle's valuation was more than double this figure – at an impressive £ 50 million.
As such, the movement has never materialized, but United still holds an interest.
Longstaff said, "Obviously, I'm still young and I'm used to it, you can not do anything.
"It's in the hands of people now, as I said before, I'm fully focused on getting back in shape for the start of the Premier League season.
"It's great to have your name mentioned in these big clubs, but for me, it's working as hard as possible for Newcastle and coming back.
"I'm trying to focus on football." "What you play off the pitch is not what you play, you may be trapped too much."

Longstaff made 12 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies last quarter.
Previously, he had spent loan periods in Kilmarnock and Blackpool.
United is giving priority to Leicester defender Harry Maguire and Juventus striker Paulo Dybala.
