First look at Beastars season 2 – Image: Netflix
After a very successful season, Beastars has already become one of the most popular anime available to stream on Netflix. Now that we know a second season is on the way, the bigger question is “when is it coming to Netflix?” Fortunately, in July 2020 we learned that another season of Beastars arrives on Netflix in 2021.
Beastars is a Netflix Original animated series based on the manga of the same name by author Paru Itagaki.
The manga debuted in September 2016 and, at the time of writing, a total of 17 volumes have been released. Since its anime adaptation, the franchise has only grown in popularity with a fiercely loyal fan base.
In October 2020, we got our very first look at Beastars Season 2 in the form of a new NX poster on Netflix. Captioned with “Someone in the Cherryton Academy Drama Club Has a Secret”.

AT Beastars been renewed for a second season?

If you’ve watched the first season of Beastars Until the end credits, you’ll already know that the animated series is getting a second season.
This is further confirmed by the NX on Netflix Tweet on July 17, 2020.

When is Netflix coming out for Beastars season 2?
Thanks to a tweet from the official Beastars Twitter account, we can confirm Beastars Season 2 arrives on Netflix internationally in July 2021. We still don’t have a full release date but we hope to hear more soon.

The second season has already aired all of its episodes in Japan, from January 7, 2021 to February 11, 2021.
Season 1 of Beastars aired in Japan from October 10 to December 26, 2019. It finally arrived on Netflix three months later on March 13, 2020.
A controversial tweet from Netflix France in August 2020 led many fans to believe that Beastars would return to Netflix in January 2021. This information was incorrect, and Netflix France subsequently apologized.
Last Saturday, we announced the arrival of season 2 of Beastars for January 21, 2021.

Without the series simulcast, we don’t wait for the second season of Beastars arrive until Summer 2021.
How many manga chapters will the second season cover?
Not all anime adaptations stay true to the source material, but for the best part, Beastars did a good job staying in tune with the manga.
Season 1 covered the first 47 chapters of the manga’s serialization, but Season 2 will have around 50 more.

After reading ahead to see what we can expect from the next season, it’s more than likely that the second season will end around Chapter 97.
What to expect from the second season?
After saving Haru’s life from the Shishigumi, Legoshi grew closer to the dwarf rabbit but still struggled with their differences as prey and predator.
Legoshi has finally admitted his feelings to Haru, but before they can become an object, the young gray wolf wants to grow stronger. Expect to see Legoshi’s training shift into high gear with the Panda Gohin.
To become strong, Legoshi would have to genetically eat meat, but since that is not an option, he will have no choice but to learn more from Gohin.

Louis’s fate
At the end of the first season it was reported that Louis was missing from the diary, the last one we saw of the Red Deer was his showdown with the Shishigumi.
A student as intelligent as Louis could not have afforded to be eaten, but the pride of angry lions may be seeking revenge for the death of their boss.

Tem’s killer will be revealed
One of the biggest unanswered questions is the identity of Tem’s killer?
The only clue we’ve had so far is that the killer is on drugs, is huge because he dominates Legoshi and must be a member of the drama club.
There are a handful of carnivores in the drama club, but which one would have been most likely to kill Tem the Alpaca? Tiger Bill has already shown he has eaten herbivore meat, has he gone one step further and eaten his classmate?

Can we expect to see a third season of Beastars?
Beastars has grown in popularity immensely since the anime’s release, so we expect to see more than two seasons of the series.
Considering that at the time of writing this update, the Beastars manga ended after 192 chapters. This would strongly suggest that we have at least two more seasons of Beastars coming to Netflix.
