If you are up to date with Ted Lasso season 2, then you’ve seen normally sweet and gentle Nathan Shelley turn into a slightly creepy villain.

The former kit manager turned assistant coach has been concerned about the pursuit of fame lately. Spoiler: After a spell giving disheartening comments to one of the players, Nate kissed Roy Kent’s girlfriend Keeley, then exposed Ted’s panic attacks to the press.

Now, in a nifty fan montage, Nate is the ultimate villain. “What if Ted Lasso Were an Horror?” Presents Nate and his spittle in the mirror scene, with a screaming string soundtrack and a violent splash of blood on the face of Mexican transfer Dani Rojas.

Ted Lasso scored big points at the 2021 Emmy Awards, taking home the Best Comedy and Best Actor awards for Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein.

But the Apple TV Plus series also divided fans with its second season. The talk surrounding the normally uplifting series has turned slightly sour, with some calling Season 2 a “disappointment.”

Season 2 isn’t over yet, and Nate actor Nick Mohammed tweeted that he was aware of the “rumble talk” surrounding his character.

“Just a quick note to say that I am aware of the rumble talk within the #TedLasso community on Nate’s course this season. It all adds up. Promise to respond once we get to the end. For now, though, I’m still a silly little actor playing an asshole! “

He also retweeted Francis Siberini’s horror montage.

What a great sport.

The last episode of season 2 of Ted Lasso arrives on Apple TV Plus this Friday, October 8.
