NEW YORK (AP) – Jerry Seinfeld was sued on Friday by a company claiming he bought the comedian's 1958 Porsche for $ 1.5 million, before discovering that it was about $ 15 million. ;a fake.

The lawsuit revealed that Fica Frio's representatives had paid $ 1.54 million at an auction held in March 2016 in Amelia Island, Florida. The price included the auction commission of 10%.
The lawsuit, which sought unspecified damages, including the costs of the purchase, revealed that the car was not genuine. Fica Frio is based in the Channel Islands.

According to the lawsuit, Seinfeld left a voicemail message last June, apologizing and promising a full refund. But he said that the refund never came.
Seinfeld's lawyer, Orin Snyder, stated that the actor had acted in good faith.
"He asked Fica Frio for evidence in support of his charges.Fica Frio ignored Jerry and filed a frivolous lawsuit," Snyder said in a statement.
Still, Snyder said, Seinfeld "is willing to do what is right and fair, and we are certain that the court will support the need for an external evaluator to examine the provenance of the car".
