It’s the Tanners 2.0.
Selena Gomez, 29, and her 8-year-old sister Grace took inspiration from two iconic sitcom sisters – DJ and Stephanie Tanner – by recreating a scene from the TV show “Full House” on TikTok.
“I’m older, I’m taller, I’m smarter,” Gomez says to the show’s DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) lines, which aired on ABC from 1987 to 1995 and in recent years has had a restart of Netflix.
I’m younger, I’m smaller, I… don’t fall into the trap, ”Gracie replies, saying Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) lines.
The video, which Gomez captioned “sisters,” quickly went viral and garnered more than 2.3 million likes in less than 48 hours.
Since Gomez is particularly private with her personal life on social media, the “Rare” singer’s fraternal content has thrilled fans.
“WE GOT SELENA AND GRACIE OF THE AHHHHH MY BABIES CONTENT,” one fan tweeted in response to the video.
“Selena and Gracie’s tiktok,” wrote another, “I can’t believe how big Gracie is, time flies.”
Before making Gracie TikTok famous, Gomez took her younger sister on a date to the premiere of “Frozen 2” in November 2019. They even matched up for the occasion, wearing matching Marc Jacobs floral maxi dresses with identical sequins and feather capes. .
Grace, who was only 6 at the time, lived “her best life” at the premiere, according to an Instagram post from Gomez.
“I hope I’m officially the best fat sissy ever,” Gomez added.
Gracie’s dad is Gomez’s stepfather, Brian Teefey.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Gomez named one of the swimsuits she designed after her little sister. The “Gracie” is a colorful one-piece designed as part of an exclusive collection Gomez worked on for La’Mariette.
