Nana Appiah Mensah
A man said to be the father of Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, CEO of Menzgold, has threatened to expose some influential Ghanaians who have benefited from the largesse of his son.
According to the man identified only as the "president", well-placed senior officials and Ghanaians have cashed over $ 51 million in his son's money.
Speaking Tuesday in an interview with Zylofon FM, this angry man said that he was disgusted with the hypocritical attitude of these people.
"These senior officials want to make my son the wrong person after taking 51 million cedis and sharing them with each other.I do not want to mention any names now, but at the appropriate time, I will do it because I do not want to mention names. I'm afraid of no one, "The president said in the interview.
He added: "There are people inside, some have $ 10 million, others have this and that, and I know every bank account on which some of the $ 51 million has been brought in. Many things will happen, but I leave them here for the moment. "
He pointed out that his main goal now was to pray for the release of the son so that he could arrange funds to pay Menzgold's clients.
According to reports that his son may return to Ghana next week after being taken to court in Dubai on February 2, NAM1's father is mocked by the complaint.
It will be recalled that after the return of the Ghanaian delegation to Dubai after reports revealed the arrest of the Menzgold CEO sought in the UAE, the Ghana Police and EOCO issued a joint statement.
In the statement, it was claimed that the delegation had made contact with NAM1 and that he was in detention awaiting trial in court on 2 February for a fraud case, the outcome of which will determine the moment where NAM1 will return to Ghana.
But according to NAM1's father, his son had not spoken to anyone and the February 2 hearing date is not even true, as no court will sit on a Saturday in Dubai.
In a ludicrous tone, he said the "security agents were not correct" and were "useless entities".
