Sequoia Capital is apparently going to the infinite and beyond.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Jess Lee, now a partner of the legendary venture capital company Silicon Valley, told exactly how she had received her offer.
Lee told Bloomberg that Sequoia's partners, Jim Goetz and Roelof Botha, had offered to meet her at a Mountain View café. When she showed up, she noticed that two coffee customers were in full cosplay of Toy Story as Woody characters and Buzz Lightyear. It turns out that it was Goetz and Botha, who took off their helmet to reveal themselves and extended the offer to Lee, a fervent fan of cosplay.

Cinema is apparently part of Sequoia's strategy to stand out in a competitive market.
According to a Forbes 2018 story, Sequoia built a LEGO model of the Golden Gate Bridge to appeal to a founder in love with Lego in which he wanted to invest.
For Lee, the tactic worked. She told Bloomberg that the gesture "meant I could go all the way" to work.
