Xherdan Shaqiri will miss the first qualifying match for Euro 2020 in Switzerland in the face of injury
Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri was ruled out of Switzerland's first European qualifiers for injury.
According to the Swiss Football Association, Shaqiri has had an inflammation injury to the groin revealed by tests conducted in a hospital on Monday.
He left the team training camp and will not be available for playoffs in Georgia on Saturday and at home against Denmark three days later.

Shaqiri was an unused substitute on Sunday in Liverpool's 2-1 win at Fulham, which saw him return to the top of the Premier League, two points ahead of Manchester City, who played one game less.
