Changes were announced at the upper level of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), the stick of the customs commissioner returning to Colonel Kwadwo Damoah (rtd), who until his early days was responsible for recruitments.
Three Commissioners at the head of the three divisions of the GRA – namely Kwasi Gyimah Asante, National Tax Revenue; Isaac Crentsil, Customs and Fred Charles Anson, Support Services, have been rebadigned to the Ministry of Finance, which oversees the GRA.

Recent media reports of the changes have been called false, with the GRA issuing a statement in which they would clean up the stories.
There was a lot of lobbying and jockeying when hints were made about the action.
As in the previous episode, efforts were made to smother the action as soon as senior officials of the GRA were informed of the upcoming "Armageddon".
The government has bitten the ball by the changes that have resulted in major political changes in the three divisions of the GRA and also to ensure the efficiency of the collection of revenue for the kitty of the state.
Hardly the internal note of the Commissioner General, Kofi Nti, announcing the changes regarding the consumption of the staff of GRA, has become viral on social media.

New Commissioner of Customs
The name of Colonel Kwadwo Damoah made the rounds of the press when he became the target of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which accused him of affliction with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , opposition party of the time.

A few days after the meeting, Col Damoah was removed from office, but the question of whether the Commander-in-Chief sanctioned him or not remains an open question.
