The cinematic universe of Marvel is about to have a new superstar. Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings joins the list of films of phase 4 of the MCU, As revealed Saturday at the Marvel Studios San Diego Comic-Con 2019 panel.
Newcomer Simu Liu is expected to play the role of Shang-Chi and will be the leading Asian lead to date in a Marvel film. Awkwafina, whom we saw recently in The Farewell, will also play alongside Tony Leung. Destiny Daniel Cretton is about to direct a script written by Dave Callaham.

Shang-Chi will be the third film of the fourth phase of Marvel, just after Eternals, and will see Shang-Chi face the Ten Rings organization introduced in Iron Man.
