Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale
A few days ago, some reports suggested to Charles Nii Armah Mensah, born in Shatta Wale, king of the Ghanaian Dancehall King and self-proclaimed since the resurrection of his career, who had won more than 71 awards in music since 2013.
MyNewsGh.com did a search and realized that the musician's claim as published on his Facebook page was nothing more than a fiction of his own imagination because some of the rewards had been won by others, but he claimed that he was the winner.
Find below the details of our surveys
The best reggae / Dancehall video – KAAKIE TOO MUCH and the most popular video – SARKODIE ILLUMINATI.
Shatta Wale only won in 2014 but claimed to have won 2 awards in 2013 and 2014, which is a lie
AFRIMMA 2014
The artist of the year 2014 was won by DAVIDO and not by Shatta Wale
VGMA 2014
Shatta Wale won 3 awards, but there was no dancehall artist of the year, despite what he claims to have won the best dancehall artist of the year award.
NEA 2014
Best performer of the year? Is he Nigerian? The best non-African category is the best African act so why did Shatta win the prize for best performer at the NEA Awards?

Not the best Dancehall artist of the year, but Shatta Wale told his fans that he had won the award for best dancehall artist of the year (AFRIMA 2015)
