Shawn Mendes will make his Grammy debut next month, while the Recording Academy announced that the singer "Lost in Japan" would be one of this year's performers on Thursday (Jan. 17).
But while Mendes is a Grammy novice, the 20-year-old is no stranger to show scenes. Since his solo debut at Radio Disney Music Awards in 2015, Mendes has delivered countless performances of shows of all kinds. Last year, he sang at five different ceremonies: ECHO Awards, Billboard Music Awards (twice!), MTV Video. Music Awards, the iHeartRadio Much Music Awards and the American Music Awards.
To celebrate perhaps the greatest awards of Mendes to date – especially thanks to his two Grammy nominations for the song of the year ("In My Blood") and the best vocal vocal album (Shawn Mendes) – revisit all his appearances since Grammys last year below.
ECHO Awards, April 2018 – "In my blood"
Although there is no video of the complete performance available, this short clip of 20 seconds shows that it was one of the simplest performances of his single dynamic by Mendes. He stood at the center of a circular scene as lights shone around him, which emphasized only his powerful voice and his pbadion for the vulnerable lyrics of the song.

Billboard Music Awards, May 2018 – "In My Blood" and "Youth" (feat. Khalid)
While "In My Blood" was on the charts, Mendes took advantage of BBMA to promote his single and also to send a message. First of all, he enthusiastically interpreted "In My Blood" in the middle of a sea of glowing flowers. About an hour later, he teamed up with Khalid for their touching "Youth" collaboration to deliver a touching rendition of the song – a performance that makes even more sense when they are joined by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas choir, barely three months shooting at the park, Florida, at school.
MTV Video Music Awards, August 2018 – "In my blood"
Continuing his quest for ways to mix the performance of "In My Blood," Mendes turned his appearance of VMA into an evening of wet t-shirts. Okay, not quite, but he was wearing a white muscular tank soaked in rain that was falling on the stage after the last bridge of the song. While many screaming fans were dying under Mendes' drenched gaze, the aesthetic of the storm was a pretty epic way to revive the song.

Just a week after the VMAs, Mendes once again played "In My Blood" to close the MMVAs. The fans were clearly not tired of him or the song for the moment, as the performance aroused the strongest reaction from the crowd, probably because it was all over the place. a show from his home town for the Toronto native. It was a huge night for Mendes, who also opened the show with his new single "Lost in Japan" and even won the biggest prize of the evening, the artist of the year.

We do not know which song Shawn will perform at the 2019 Grammys, but fans will certainly not mind the second round of the remix "Lost In Japan".
