Sho Madjozi wins big at # SAMA25

Sho Madjozi, Sjava, DJ Black Coffee and Black Motion were crowned children of the 25th annual South African Music Awards (Samas) Gala in Sun City, in the north-west of the country.

The musicians' harvest has won two victories respectively; but Black Coffee and Black Motion were unable to attend the show because they had a show in Ibiza, Spain.

Sjava won the coveted Album of the Year title with her masterpiece Umqhele, beating the latest offers from Black Coffee, Zonke, Vusi Nova and Black Motion

He also won the award for best Afro Pop album.

Sho Madjozi has been named Newcomer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year.

Joyous Celebration, a long-time gospel band, was the big winner of the evening with three awards: Best-Selling Digital Album, Best-Selling Artist and Best-Selling DVD.

The year record voted by the public was awarded to Holly Rey with spectacular success Deeper.

Critically acclaimed Strings and Bling, who enjoyed great commercial success, won the coveted Hops-to-Hip Album award, winning HHP's posthumous victory.

The other winners were Spirit of Praise, Spikiri and Tresor.

The awards were presented by Bob Mabena, Melanie Bala, Khuli Chana, Seipati "Twasa" Seoke, Nomzamo Mbatha and Mpho "Popps" Modikoane.

DJ Sumbody, Vusi Nova, Simmy, Bongo Maffin, Thebe, Mlindo, the singer and more still performed.
