Bishop Wale Oke, president of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), expressed shock at the death of Dr Wilson Badejo, describing it as a great loss to the Christian community.

Badejo, a former general overseer of the Foursquare church, died on Saturday at the age of 74.

The president of the NFP, in a condolence message to Ibadan on Sunday, said that Badejo during his lifetime had dedicated his service to the Lord and improved the spread of the gospel to the nations of the world.

Oke, who is also the presiding bishop of the Sword of the Spirit ministries, Ibadan, said Badejo is leading a dignified life and will remain a challenge to the living.

“For everyone, death is a garment that will be worn by everyone at the appointed time.

“Although humanly speaking, we wouldn’t have wanted him to go now, however, God is the ultimate ‘when’ for everyone,” the post read.

Oke warned that Badejo’s death should always serve as a lesson to remember that no one will live in the world forever.

Oke lamented that many in society still behave as if they will never leave the earth.

While compassionate with the family, the Foursquare Church and the Christian organization of the country, the president of the NFP prayed that God would grant all concerned the courage to support Badejo’s transition to glory.
