Ready to leave the cave, lick a monolith, find a civilization, go to war, launch a Renaissance, shoot some nuclear bombs, then load your people in a rocket to charge Alpha Centauri?
Good news then. Sid Meier's Civilization V is now available for the Mac via Valve's Steam digital delivery service.
If you do not know the Civilization series in any of his incarnations in the last twenty years, the official text explains quite well things:
The flagship turn-based strategy game is back Become a sovereign of the world by establishing and leading a civilization of the dawn of man in the space age: wage war, diplomacy, discoveries of new technologies, confront some of the greatest leaders and build the most powerful empire the world has ever known.
The good news is that if you have already bought Civilization V on the PC via Steam, you already have it on the Mac: just launch Steam and the download should start. Otherwise, it will cost you $ 49.99, or $ 54.99 if you want some tidy extras, including a behind-the-scenes video, a bonus animator and the OST game.
