Singer Sam Smith "identifies as non-binary"

Sam Smith revealed that he identified himself as non-binary.

"Non-binary / genderqueer is that you do not identify with a genre, you are a mix of all kinds of things, you are your own special creation.

"That's how I understand it, I'm neither a man nor a woman, I think I'm floating between the two – it's all in the spectrum," said the Oscar-winning singer.

He said The right place star that he thinks that his bad is free rather than defined by society.

"I've always been very free to think about my baduality, so I just try to change that into my thoughts about gender too," Smith said.

The pop star also frankly discussed the image of his body and confessed to having had liposuction at the age of 12 because he "was holding a lot of weight in my chest".

The Grammy winner, Smith, said the body image was "the basis of all my sadness", but revealed in an Instagram post last month that he was trying to accept his body as that he is.

"Yesterday, I decided to fight my back, take back my body and stop trying to change that chest, those hips and curves that my mom and dad have created and love so unconditionally", he wrote.
