Single Irena Srbinovska reveals she “cried everyday” after finding fame

Irena Srbinovska has spoken candidly about the emotional toll on her life after winning The Bachelor last year.

Speaking to the Daily Telegraph on Monday, the former nurse, 32, said she struggled to cope with being put in the spotlight and crying daily.

“I got really exhausted last year… I was overwhelmed,” she explained.

“Every day I would sit in the parking lot and cry, and I had a hard time getting out of the car to go to work.”

Now, after spending the last year enjoying a glamorous career as an Instagram influencer, Irena says she’s finally ready to return to work as a nurse.

Last month, she told fans that over the past decade, she had held several different roles at Geelong Hospital and couldn’t wait to get her scrubs back on.

Irena’s career update comes after she found love with former Australian Survivor star Locky Gilbert in season eight of The Bachelor last year.

They told Who magazine the loss of their baby was a “devastating hollow.”

Irena said the miscarriage may have been related to the stress she was going through as a result of The Bachelor.

“In our first few months together, I unfortunately had a miscarriage,” said Irena. “But Locky was my rock and having his support made me love him even more.”
