The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has stated that six licensed fund market operators have voluntarily requested to cease trading for various reasons.

According to the SEC, the six companies; As a result, HFC Capital Partners Limited, Attai Capital Limited, Serengeti Capital Limited, Indigo Investment Management Limited, Verit Investment Advisory Limited and Waxson Investment and Pension Management are not mandated to conduct fund management activities.

"After a thorough badessment of the situation, the Commission approved their requests. The aforementioned companies are therefore not mandated to carry out fund management activities, "SEC said in a statement.

"Accordingly, the Commission wishes to inform the general public that any person who enters into a transaction with one of these companies or their representatives, as fund managers, could expose themselves to avoidable risks", the statement said.
