Paul Merson, a specialist in aerial sports, is not convinced that Gonzalo Higuain is the man who solves Chelsea's problems.
The 31-year-old Juventus striker is expected to be loaned to Chelsea until the end of the season, according to Sky Italy.
The Argentine international Higuain has scored eight times this season during his loan period with AC Milan, his Serie A rival.
The boss of Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri, would like to be reunited with Higuain after working with the striker in Napoli.
But Merson is "not sure" that the 31-year-old can adapt to the rigors of Prime Minister Lague.
Sending to Sky, the pandit said, "He was an excellent player, but he looks below his best in recent times.
"He has not yet shot trees for a while and he is now coming into the toughest league in the world.
"He will not have time to adjust either, because he needs to get to work, because Chelsea needs someone to play his center role.
"I prefer someone who has already played in the Premier League and who knows what this league requires."
