Days after shooting announced the departure of its chief financial officer, reports revealed that the head of human resources of the company had been asked to leave following an internal investigation conducted late last year that led to the dismissal from its global security officer.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Francis Racioppi, head of global security at Snap, was fired late last year after an investigation revealed that he had a relationship inappropriate with an outside contractor that he had hired. After the end of the relationship, Racioppi terminated the woman's contract, the report says.
Racioppi denied any wrongdoing in a commentary to the Journal. A Cheddar report adds that one of Racioppi's badistants was fired for helping to conceal the scandal.
The findings of the investigation would have allowed CEO Evan Spiegel to ask the company's chief human resources officer, Jason Halbert, to step down. Halbert has announced his intention to leave the company this week.
While today's news connects two senior executives to a single incident, Snap's management team seems to be losing talent in its ranks at an accelerated pace.
Snap did not comment on the reports.
