"Saturday Night Live" took a step back from politics when it returned on Feb. 9, starring a cold opening that plunged into the current state of journalism.
On Kyle Mooney's "Meet the Press," Chuck Todd interviewed Washington Post columnist, Eugene Robinson (portrayed by Kenan Thompson), Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan (Cecily Strong), and the former president. of the Democratic National Convention, Donna Brazile (Leslie Jones).
"In a new record for journalism, this week's National Enquirer has been accused of blacking out Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos. You are all well respected journalists. So, in the end, what will Jeff Bezos's penis look like? He asked.
While Jones Brazile was clearly confused, Strong's Noonan immediately expressed himself: "When I hear the penis of a billionaire, I immediately think of" little potatoes ", you know? As they say, if it's small and funny, you better get the money, darling. "
Thompson, Robinson, admitted that he was "naturally curious" to know if he was "working with something the size of an Amazon Echo or Dot".
When asked what he thought of National Enquirer's history of the country in general, Thompson's Robinson said it was shameful. "It's a flagrant violation of someone's privacy," he said. But when are the images coming out? "I'm going to watch them. I will turn them into hilarious memes and send them to all my friends, "he said.

The sketch was also fun with the headlines of the New York daily narrating this story, highlighting the missed opportunity not to say "Your Amazon package is on the way," for example.
With the intention of rotating the discussion on the state of Donald Trump's union, the conversation continued when Kate McKinnon was appointed Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, who also had opinions on Bezos.
Aidy Bryant also appeared as Attorney General, Matt Whitaker, but before Todd de Mooney could understand what Whitaker left out of his testimony about Donald Trump during the Robert Mueller investigation, photos of Bezos have been broadcast.
