After it went viral that two students were refused admission to Achimota School for having dreadlocks, Ghanaians reacted on social media.

The former Kumbungu MP, on Facebook, said the school had violated the constitution by not admitting students.

I am told that two brilliant Ghanaian students have had their admission to the prestigious Achimota school withdrawn….

Some Ghanaians, however, have no problem with the school’s decision to keep the student out of school.

Many claim that the school is just enforcing its rules and regulations.

But some Ghanaians say it is unfair and “hypocritical” of the school not to admit students because of their hair.

This back-and-forth also prompted Ghanaians to share their concerns about school rules and their experiences.
