SoftBank Group Expects $ 4.5 Billion Bond for Retail Investors

TOKYO (Reuters) – The SoftBank Group Corp. has announced it will issue 500 billion yen bonds (3.4 billion pounds sterling) of bonds, the largest of its kind in its history. , for Japanese individual investors.

The six-year bonds will have a coupon between 1.3% and 1.9% to be determined next week, announced SoftBank in a document filed Monday. The product will be used to cover redemptions.

Subscriptions will be held from April 15 to 25, with 11 subscribers, including Nomura Securities, the brokerage arm of Nomura Holdings, and Daiwa Securities.

SoftBank has 700 billion yen of bonds maturing in the current fiscal year. The technology conglomerate has opted for its largest float of this type after determining the strong demand from retail investors.
