And there was a tender moment on the edge of the field as the 19-year-old was preparing to enter the field of play.

Dad, who had his other son Elia in the dugout, came out and patted his boy in the back.

But the teenager did not have too much time to impress, he came in the 85th minute.

In the end, it was Juan Mata who proved the hero when he won, then scored a penalty in the 90th minute.

Speaking about her son's special night, Ole said, "Of course, Noah debuts for them in front of 28,000 spectators. This is not very often a Norwegian doe.

"And Elia, next to me, liked that and that's what counts when you come back here.

"Their players were in our locker room, changed shirts, exchanged shirts, took pictures, they were quite remarkable for our boys, they are a pleasure to see them now.

"The group, the fellowship is good, the atmosphere is really good, so hopefully we'll get those results when the league starts."

CARRICK THE ROLE MODEL

Kristiansund manager Christian Michelsen seems to have high hopes for Solskjaer Jr.

Speaking before the match, he said, "Although his father is more effective as he approaches the surface, Noah is no longer the one who organizes the attacks.

"He has a lot of talent and understanding of football – Noah went to a good school.

"He and many of these kids have been with us for a while.

"We knew that they were good football players, but what's fun is that we see that they are taking more and more level.

"It's great for them and fun for us to see them grow well."

Noah started playing in front, but as he got older, he went back further in the middle of the field.

He is now considered a liar midfielder who brings others into the game with his pbades and creativity.

And the young man admits that the player on which he tried to base his game is a close friend of his father – United coach Michael Carrick.

He said: "I have a little model to Michael Carrick.

"At first, I started at the front, but the longer it lasted, the closer I got.

"I am now more a number six in the middle of the field than a number 10.

"It would be nice to get into the game. After watching such big games, I'm used to it."
