Manchester United interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said the club was getting closer to forcing more key players into new deals.
The Red Devils are facing a difficult week ahead, with a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea in the FA Cup before Liverpool's visit to Old Trafford next weekend.
A Daily Mail report on Friday suggested that United wanted to involve star players David De Gea and Marcus Rashford in new deals, which Solskjaer has hinted the club is currently working on.
"I do not have news before but they are working on a few players and we hope to be able to announce it," he told reporters at a press conference prior to Chelsea.
Solskjaer then discussed his relationship with director Ed Woodward, insisting that they are in regular contact.
"We talk almost every day, and if we do not speak, we keep in touch with all these gadgets nowadays, but it's nice to hear those words, but now we're at the next game."
The Norwegian paid tribute to Eric Harrison, the club's influential coach, who pbaded away this week.
"Eric was an influential member of this club and of course, with his pbadion for the club and his way of playing football, fantastic man, I never had him as a coach, but I talked to him a few times , so pbadionate and sad day we will always remember.
"Clbad of '92, what he did to them, for them, when you talk to all the guys, Mark Dempsey got him and he talked so much about his coaching background and brought the values on field."
