The practical work is done in his workshop, where he is originally a mechanic. Abdullahi Mohamed Ali, 27, is helped by bright, talented young people who spend hours badembling pieces of what could be a game changer in the war on terror.
Mohammed Ali and his team use the same tools as those used in a normal garage to build a tank prototype.
Parts are easily found in Mogadishu scrap yards. Mohammed Ali, a motorcycle engine to power the vehicles, has also collected a drum, an improvised pipe and car tires, but he needs more accessories so his ingenuity can translate into a vehicle of full fight.
"I tell young Somalis that we can build factories and manufacturing companies with your hands. If we remain united, we will be able to make extraordinary developments in our beloved homeland, "said Mohamed Ali.
The global arms industry is worth billions of dollars. Countries like the United States, Germany, Israel and China are the main producers and sellers of war material.
Experts work day and night to come up with new, more sophisticated inventions.
Perhaps the innovation of Mohamed Ali could be the beginning of the arms industry developed by Somalia.
"It is true that Somalia was as powerful in Africa as the United States is now. I want to show the world that our consciousness is still alive, "he says.
The federal government still needs the UN's permission to buy weapons, but the question is far from being considered. Young men are committed to moving the vehicle!

Mohammed Ali has become a source of inspiration for young people. He is perceived as a courageous, innovative and even a star capable of changing the horn of this country of Africa nicknamed a failed state.
His first sample of a military tank in Mogadishu is produced with limited resources, but if successful, it can be used to transport troops and serve as a powerful infantry vehicle on the front lines of Somalia, where Peacekeepers and the national army have decried the shortage of combat equipment.

Abdullahi Mohamed Ali was born just outside the capital. He first worked as an operator on a ship operating between Somalia and the United Arab Emirates before resigning in 2015. Being apprenticed for two years earned the father three skills in car repairs that he had. He now uses to invent war machines.
His next project is designing a sea bike.
