The Director of National Security Operations described as tampered videos, showing scenes of violence during the bloody by-election of Ayawaso-West Wuogon in Accra.
According to Colonel Michael Opoku, the video shown to him by the investigating commission investigating the violence "does not follow the sequence of events".
The overwhelming video evidence shows an uncontrolled aggression of civilians by masked men, while the police seemed unable to control the situation at any of the polling stations in La Bawaleshie.

But questioning the authenticity of the video shown to him, the director of operations said;
"If someone receives the video of the first day, you will see that this one is a video tampered with … .tThe immigration officer we saw moving away was moved when Sam George was slapped.
"You could see he was moving away because he did not want to be an eyewitness to what was going on. But in the video, you see something different, with different storytelling, "said e.
In another example in support of his doctrinal claims, he referred to a narration in the video attributed to a purported National Security agent who had said, "We will kill you, we will kill you. That's the beginning of 2020 [elections]. "
But to challenge the narrative, Colonel Michael Opoku said this statement was made by "the people who were with Sam George".
He added that although the people making the threats wore khaki pants with black uniforms similar to those of his agents, he could still identify his men.
The director of national security warned the media to be cautious by collecting video clips.
In the first video that he watched, a Joy FM reporter said that two people had died. Joy FM, however, confirmed that none of its reporters had made that statement.
He also said that several photos on social media showing people looking fearful and fully armed, referred to as National Security Officers, are old photos unrelated to the violence of the country. By-election.
According to some Facebook publications, some of these members would be known members of the infamous NPP militia group, Invincible Forces.
The colonel, while questioning the authenticity of the video, said that he should check to find the original video of the violence.
