British politician Nigel Farage has warned that an organized far-right party could emerge in the wake of the impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.

Farage in a video posted on Twitter said any move by Democrats to impeach Trump before he leaves office would be a mistake that will fuel further tensions in America.

He said:

“There is a real danger that someone much worse in Democrats’ eyes than President Trump will come across as a great politician.

“A real danger that you see an organized far-right political party in the United States as they split from the Republicans.”

Farage, who is a friend of Trump, said the impeachment process itself would anger tens of millions of the president’s voters.

According to him, the impeachment would give the president a status of holiness among his base, which sees politicians in Washington DC as “their enemy”.

In another news story, following the invasion of the U.S. Capitol, federal prosecutors said the intention of supporters of President Donald Trump was to capture and assassinate government officials, Reuters reported.

International media explained that prosecutors made the disclosure in a court file.

Prosecutors also asked a judge to detain the man who was pictured wearing horns in the US Senate chamber identified as Jacob Chansley.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump could serve the remainder of his term without being impeached despite his second impeachment by the United States House of Representatives.
