Singer Sona Mohapatra has often criticized actor Salman Khan and even called him “the poster child of toxic masculinity”. A Twitter user wanted to know why she hadn’t commented when actor Priyanka Chopra revealed in her autobiography that he saved her from an awkward situation.

Priyanka Chopra, in her recently released Unfinished memoir, recalled an incident early in her career when a director said that she “chaddiyan dikhni chahiye (panties must be seen)” in a song to attract audiences. While leaving the film the next day, the director appeared on the sets of another of her films in a “restless” state. His co-star, Salman Khan, had to step in.

Earlier, in 2019, Sona criticized Salman for digging Priyanka because she left his film Bharat. Salman had said Priyanka left the “biggest movie of her career” to get married. “Usually people leave their husbands for this,” he said.

Sona, slamming Salman, wrote on Twitter at the time: “Cus @priyankachopra has better things to do in life, real men to hang out with and most importantly, girls to inspire with her trip.”

In the past, Sona has criticized Salman for comparing himself to a “raped” woman while describing how he felt after the grueling filming of Sultan. Last year, she slammed him again after he asked his fans to support the fans and family of Sushant Singh Rajput.
