A new brand indicates that Sony will provide its new flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ4, with a 21: 9 screen called CinemaWide.
As Mobile World Congress approaches, smart phone manufacturers are getting ready to announce their latest models. Sony has probably five new smartphone models on the market, the economical phone Xperia L3, mid-range smartphones XA3 and XA3 Ultra and finally the high-end models Xperia XZ4 and XZ4 Compact.
The Sony Xperia XZ4 will be the new high-end model. This mobile phone is likely to have an extra-long screen, it's a 6.5 inch HDR OLED display with a 21: 9 aspect ratio and a QHD + resolution (3360 × 1440 pixels). A new brand confirms this rumor.
Sony CinemaWide
On February 4, 2019, Sony Mobile Communications filed a trademark with the EUIPO (Office of Intellectual Property of the European Union) for the name CinemaWide. The mark is clbadified in clbad 9 with the description; "Smartphones, tablets, screens, application software for smartphones, image processing devices, exposed motion pictures".
The application was introduced by the attorney Müller Fottner of Munich, who acted for Sony Mobile Communications. In the past, this German company had asked Sony for more brands.
Sony Xperia XZ4 smartphone
The term Cinema Wide refers to a 21: 9 format. In combination with the description, it seems that Sony badigns the CinemaWide name to the Xperia XZ4's new screen. However, we can not yet totally exclude that something else is involved. As a movie app for the XZ4, although that seems much less likely.
With such a large screen size, it is likely that you can also make very wide recordings with the smartphone's camera, after which you can view and read the pictures directly in all the glory of your phone. The mobile device is probably equipped with a triple camera, the main camera would have 52 megapixels and a brilliant f / 1.6 lens.
The Android 9.0 smartphone is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with 6GB of RAM. In addition, Sony seems to want to equip its flagship product with an extremely powerful battery with a capacity of 4400 mAh, more than enough to watch movies for hours.
Incidentally, the Xperia XZ4 will probably also have a 3.5mm connection. This is remarkable since the current XZ3 has no connection for headphones, Sony seems to want to go back now.
The MWC 2019 will begin on February 25 and the day of opening, Sony will hold a press conference to officially introduce the new Xperia smartphones.
