South Africans have used Twitter to express their shock in front of videos of what appears to be a kindergarten teacher who seems to be hitting children while forcing them to clean up.

In one of the videos, it appears that the woman forces a little boy to clean a carpet, then hits him repeatedly on the head before throwing him and walking on his head.

In another video, we can see the same woman telling a crying girl to clean her vomit and then hit her head.

Screengrab of the filmAfter watching the video @ zee_pho23 tweeted: "My heart sank". @ BrittanyX0_ said, "Wow, you do not understand how much it makes me cry, poor baby." And there have been calls for the author to be punished.

It was also asked why the person who was filming the incidents did not intervene, although others felt that the films provided important evidence.

In response, the Department of Social Development asked people to come forward if they had information about the woman:

.@The_DSD condemns the abuse of children and wishes to ask members of the public to identify the day care center and the person in charge of forcing young children to clean their clbadrooms while inflicting the most severe punishment on them. pic.twitter.com/Af1Sz9c45z

However, the Sowetan Live news site reports that the woman in question has been arrested and is awaiting her appearance in court.
